WEB SITE PRIVACY POLICY

InBev may collect certain information about you in the course of your use of this Web Site. We take privacy and security of your information seriously and will only use such personal information as set out in this privacy policy. By using the Web Site and submitting your information to us you agree to us using your personal information in accordance with this policy.

InBev UK Limited is registered on the public register of data controllers maintained by the Information Commissioner. We work strictly in line with the Data Protection Act 1998, so we're licensed to hold information and must comply with the Act for anything we do with it.

What information do we collect?

We collect information on our users in two ways: through cookies and through registration.

For more information about cookies, please see below.

The minimum information we need to register a user is a username and/or an email address, and a password. Other information we may ask for from time to time (for instance, when a user wishes to enter a contest or other promotional feature) includes full name, postcode and date of birth. We also ask some further, voluntary questions so we can gain a clearer understanding of our users. Your responses help us to personalise services for our users. We do not share this "additional" information with third parties unless you have consented to this. We also collect data listing which of our pages are most frequently visited and by which types of users.

Personal Profile Information Uses

At InBev, we collect different types of information about our users for three main reasons:

  1. To help us to improve the services we offer;
  2. To provide personalised services unique to individual users; or
  3. To use anonymous details about our users to sell appropriate advertising space on the site.

This might mean showing an advertiser how many female users we have on the site, it does not mean sharing an individual's personal details with an advertiser.

Where we collect registration information from an individual, we will not share that individual's information with a third party, including an advertiser, without that user's explicit prior permission, except where a government, regulatory body or the law requires us to disclose your personal information.

Cookies

'Cookies' are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. They are primarily used to store information about your preferences and other information which you may need when you visit a website. They also make it possible for us to identify registered users without needing to ask for registration details every time you access one of our sites. Using cookies makes accessing our sites more convenient as you don't need to remember your username and password each time you enter.

Occasionally, we may also use cookies to track registered or unregistered users as they travel through the site - for instance, we might use cookies to count the total number of unique users who are accessing the site over a particular period of time. This information will never be shared with a third party, and is only used to make our systems more efficient.

Finally, some content on the Web Site might be served by third parties such as Doubleclick. Occasionally, these third parties will serve cookies on your browser as well, for instance to gauge the effectiveness of a particular piece of content. Please note: This will not enable these third parties to access your personal details.

If you are concerned about cookies, you can turn them off in your browser and opt out at the registration screen. However, if you do this please note that some areas of the site may not work properly.

Security

InBev has taken reasonable measures (physical, organisational and technological) to safeguard against unauthorised access to your personally identifiable information (for example to ensure that email communications are only accessible by the designated recipients at InBev or their suppliers) and to safely store your personally identifiable information. However, the Internet is not a secure medium and the privacy of your communications and personal information can never be guaranteed. InBev has no control over the practices of third parties (e.g. website links to this Web Site, third-party sponsors; third parties who misrepresent themselves as you or someone else).

Updating and accessing your information

If you have indicated on the registration form that you wish to receive direct marketing material, your personal details will be included in a database compiled for direct marketing purposes. From time to time, you may receive direct marketing information from us or from third parties.

If you have indicated that you wish to receive direct marketing material or email updates from InBev or its partners, but subsequently change your mind, you should notify us by clicking on the "Contact Us" Icon anywhere on the Web Site. You have a right under the Data Protection Act 1998 to access the information we hold about you, subject to certain conditions. If at any time you wish to update or correct any personally identifiable information you have provided, or you no longer wish us to collect, use or disclose any personally identifiable information for the purposes described above, please do not hesitate to contact us by clicking on the "Contact Us" Icon anywhere on the Web Site.
